Welcome to Ruth Hunt
Candy Company!
In 1921 Ruth Hunt began to sell the confections that her
friends and family had always loved. She, followed by her
daughter Emily Peck, ran the business until 1989, when the
Kezele family took over. Now, almost 30 years later, and 99
years since Ruth Hunt officially hung her Cream Candy sign,
we follow many of the original recipes using only the finest
ingredients such as real whipping cream, dairy butter and
preservative free chocolate. From huge old marble slabs,
to the hand-stirred spun copper kettles, the atmosphere
is flavored with sights and smells of “homemade” candy,
just as it was nearly 100 years ago. Our employees exhibit
pride and satisfaction in assuring that each piece of candy
receives their personal approval. In these modern times, it
is heartening to know that the highest quality homemade
confections can still be found at Ruth Hunt Candy Co.
