JESUIT PERSPECTIVES • FALL 2021 3
Raul Berzosa's painting "Conversion of
Saint Ignatius of Loyola" is being used to
commemorate The Ignatian Year
During World War II, through a partnership
with MacDill Air Force Base, Jesuit
transitioned into a military school
Today, Jesuit is proud that several
graduating seniors earn appointments
each year into prestigious
U.S. military academies. Others
participate in ROTC programs
during their college years. These
young alumni follow generations
of Jesuit Tigers in offering their
service to the country and bringing
their outstanding leadership skills
to that service.
We are grateful for their commitment,
and for all those who have
nation and our freedom for future
generations. Please join me
in thanking these ‘Men for Others’
for their service, and in praying for
their safety and for their families.
Yours In Christ,
Rev. Richard C. Hermes, S.J.
President
