STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS STEP G Using appliqué scissors, cut away the extra fabric from the tack down stitches. Cut as close as you can to the tack down stitch without cutting the stitches for the cleanest end result. The right scissors will make your project easier and more fun. We use curved tip appliqué scissors to help get close to the tack down stitch. NOTIONS TIP STEP H Once you've trimmed away the extra fabric, put your hoop back in the machine and run the remaining embroidery steps. STEP I Now that your embroidery is finished, its time to attach the back. Take your hoop out of the machine and use another piece of fabric to cover the entire design. Be sure to place your fabric right side facing down. Make sure the back fabric is big enough to cover the entire design and that you place your fabric so that right sides are together.
