ACCESS / Quilting Once you are sure everything is aligned, carefully pin the section to hold the points together. You will pin just at the tree trunk, not along the entire edge, just yet. Take the blocks to your sewing machine and carefully stitch just to the inside of the tack down line where you pinned in place. Right now you will just stitch the tree trunk section together. You can baste stitch this seam first which allows you to remove the stitches easier if necessary. Open the seam and check the alignment. If the tree trunk is aligned perfectly you are good to continue on. If this section is not aligned perfectly, now is the time to remove the stitches and try again. Stitching tile scenes together is one of the trickiest things we do, so it does take some practice to accomplish correctly. Take your time and restitch this area if you need to.
