PRINTING THE DESIGNS OUT NOTES One of the biggest mistakes you can make while digitizing a design is to try and insert too much detail into a small amount of space. How do you know how much detail to digitize into a design? I suggest before you start to digitize a design you print the artwork out at actual size and see if any details look too small. If the design shown to the right is the actual size, the design would need to be simplified. Most digitizers spend too much time zooming in and out of a design. By zooming in too far you are probably likely to put more stitches into a design than are necessary. Looking at the design at actual size will help you to see exactly how much room there is in any given space of the design.
