Family Concerts
Family Concerts introduce preschool and kindergarten-age children
to classical music through engaging and interactive chamber music
concerts with a TFO ensemble. Arts and crafts, science activities,
movement activities, and a book corner also capture imaginations,
preparing kids for the theme of the concert. Admission to these
concerts is pay what you can at the door, making the program
accessible for all families.
Side-by-Sides
TFO believes in cultivating the next generation of musicians,
and side by sides provide a unique opportunity for students to
see what playing with professional musicians is really like. TFO
players sit next to high school musicians for a rehearsal of their
repertoire. This can be a life changing experience for a young
musician and provides some of their most memorable experiences.
TFO has been working with local youth orchestras on side-by-side
rehearsals as far back as 1994.
