BRIAN M. SMALLHEER (Technical
Director) received his education from
Harrison Center for the Visual and
Performing Arts, Polk Community College
(Visual Arts), and University of South
Florida (Theatre Design). Brian has been
an artistic associate and designer for Jobsite
since 1999. When not freelancing as a
designer, Brian is the Technical Theatre
Instructor and Technical Director for
Tampa Preparatory School. As a designer
for Jobsite, his work has received two
Best of the Bay awards: Best Lighting
Design for Einstein’s Dreams (2011)
and Best Local Set Designer (2014). He
also received Broadway World’s Best
Set Design for Time Stands Still and
Return to the Forbidden Planet. Other
select design credits include The Tempest,
A Skull in Connemara, Lizzie: The Musical,
Lebensraum, Annapurna, Orlando,
Twelfth Night, Macbeth, Mindgame,
Picasso at the Lapin Agile, boom!, The
Lieutenant of Inishmore, The March of the
Kitefliers, Gorey Stories, subUrbia and

DAVID M. JENKINS (Direction, Sound)
is the Producing Artistic Director and a
co-founder of Jobsite. He holds a Ph.D.
in Communication (Performance Studies)
from the University of South Florida, an
M.F.A. in Acting from the University of
Florida, and a B.A. in Theater Performance,
also from USF. He has additionally studied
with Moscow State University, the Russian
Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) and the
San Francisco Mime Troupe. In addition
to his full-time work for Jobsite, David
teaches in the Honors College at USF
as an adjunct instructor. He has recently
directed productions of Gloucester Blue,
As You Like It, LIZZIE, The Maids,
SILENCE! The Musical, Annapurna (with

Summer Bohnenkamp), and Twelfth Night
for Jobsite as well as Annie Baker’s The
Aliens for Stageworks Theatre. He was
directed by Israel Horovitz in Sins of the
Mother (Frankie/Philly Verga), and has
been recently seen in Cloud Nine (Betty/
Edward), A Skull in Connemara (Tom
Hanlon), Time Stands Still (James), The
Hound of the Baskervilles (Dr. Watson)
and The Lonesome West (Coleman). The
latter earned him a Theatre Tampa Bay
nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor,
recognition as a Top 9 performance of
2013 by Creative Loafing’s Mark Leib,
and the Best Actor Award in CL’s Best of
the Bay Reader’s Poll. He was the 2014
recipient of the Best Director Award from
CL’s Reader’s Poll and Best Director of
a Musical in the BroadwayWorld Tampa
Regional Awards; he also won the 2015
BroadwayWorld Regional Award for
Best Actor (Times Stands Still). Creative
Loafing has twice honored him as both Best
Artistic Director and Best Actor. David
has published articles in the scholarly
journals Text & Performance Quarterly,
Liminalities, and Departures in Critical
Qualitative Research. He lives in Tampa
Heights in a neat old house with his rad wife
and a mess of critters.
TEAH BANKS (Rehearsal Stage
Manager) is a Tampa native and recent
graduate of The University of South
Florida with Bachelors in Theater Arts and
in English Creative Writing. She joined the
theater department at USF as a fun way to
fulfill her extracurricular classes and fell in
love with the theater instead. While at USF,
she performed in the USF Student Theater
Production of The Pillowman, the Student
Theater Masked Production of Romeo &
Juliette, and worked backstage for USF’s
productions of A Midsummer Night’s
Dream and Violet. After graduating, she
joined the Jobsite team as an intern under the
mentorship of Matthew Ray for A Skull in
Connemara. She also served as ASM under
Vivian Rodriguez for The Flick, and staged
managed Tampa Rep’s recent production of
Gnit. She had a great experience with the
wonderful director, actors, designers, and
