Joy’s father has worked as a scout with the Zambian
Carnivore Program (ZCP) since 2009 and prior to that
with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife.
He is an indispensable member of their team and
when asked if he was interested in furthering his
education, he instead asked if ZCP would support his
daughter to attend college. Joy is now in her third
and final year of college receiving a Bachelor’s of
Occupational Safety and Health.
Fitzgerald’s father is a retired Department of National
Parks and Wildlife officer who devoted his entire
career to protecting wildlife.
Fitzgerald himself is following in his father’s footsteps,
by attending veterinary school and is committed to
long term wildlife conservation.
Seeing the outstanding commitment to his field,
Fitzgerald was awarded a government scholarship
covering 75% of his college fees.
The Attias Group has
provided holistic
economic and
academic support to
students and their
families in Mfuwe,
Zambia.
We focus on supporting students who have the
academic abilities and mindset, but do not have the
economic means, to leverage education as a catalyst.
Through educational scholarships we have put emphasis
on tertiary education (post high school) so that young
people are empowered to have choices to create a
sustainable future.
