Year three means
adapting what we do.
NIXA PUBLIC SCHOOLS CONNECTED INITIATIVE
has reached Year 3: Adapt.
YEAR 1: ATTAIN allowed our teachers and staff to
participate in training that strengthened their understanding of
how to use technology in the classroom. We were also able to
purchase devices for all students thanks to the support of our
community.
YEAR 2: ACCEPT allowed us to distribute over 6,000
Chromebooks. This year we expanded our training to make
sure teachers had the resources they need to use technology
in lessons across all grade levels, subjects and classrooms.
NEXT YEAR, YEAR 4: ACHIEVE, we are looking for ways
to continue to expand training for staff and achieve even more
student engagement with technology.

One2One partnership
WE CONTINUED OUR PARTNERSHIP this year with
One2One Risk Solutions to offer an optional student device
protection plan without any rate increase. In the event of
damage, our student device protection plan covers one
claim in full for breakage of any parts or replacement of the
CONNECTED device. The second and third claim, families
will be responsible for a $20 fee. Claims after the third will
be at a total cost to the student. If repairs support the need
for full replacement cost for the CONNECTED device, the
cost will be $75. If you have questions about One2One,
contact your child’s school.
