MORE INFORMATION ON THE BERKSHIRES
Event Listings
Looking for a full list of events occurring during your Berkshire
visit? Please understand that Lee is at the center of a vast mecca
of cultural attractions extending across parts of four states in an
area rich with music, dance, theater, historic homes, museums,
outdoor recreation and community activities. No single source lists
all of these events, but here are some options for finding current
information:
• The best print listings of events can be found in Berkshire
Week and the Shires of Vermont, a supplement to the
daily Berkshire Eagle and Bennington Banner, included in
Thursday editions from May to October. It is not distributed
free of cost, but the complete listings can be found
online at www.berkshireeagle.com or www.benningtonbanner.
com. Other events are listed daily in the newspapers,
but they are shown only on the dates for which they are
scheduled so it is hard to plan ahead.
• If you want to make lists of events occurring in advance
of your visit, you will have to use online sources.
• If you know specific venues you will be visiting, consult
individual websites. Most venues include calendars of
their planned events.
• Other online calendars offer the most searchable and
current information to assist with planning your visit.
We recommend these sites:
• www.berkshires.org (Site of 1Berkshire and the
Berkshire Visitors Bureau)
• www.theberkshireedge.com (Berkshire news source
with comprehensive calendar section)
• www.iberkshires.com (Also includes news and accurate
calendar listings)
• Local newspapers: Berkshire Eagle (published daily) and
the Berkshire Record (weekly)
The Lee Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center is located at
3 Park Place in the Town Park, in the midst of downtown Lee’s
Historic District, and is open 36 hours per week in-season if you
need assistance in searching event listings.
