Nestled between the Continental Divide and the
shadow of Seneca Rocks, the unique mountain landscape
found in the Randolph County region, is home to a wealth of
natural wonders like the Monongahela National Forest, Dolly
Sods Scenic Area and Spruce Knob, the highest point in the
state. Make sure to visit Kumbrabow Falls State Forest, located
along the western edge of the Allegheny Highlands atop Rich
Mountain. The 9,474 acres of forest range from 3,000 to 3,930
feet above sea level, making Kumbrabow the state’s highest
forest.
Specially constructed trails let mountain bikers have “epic
rides” while hikers, not intimidated by great mountain
landscapes, can go out into the backcountry as far as they like.
