Founded in 1973, Four County Players is Central Virginia’s longest
continuously operating community theater. For more than forty years,
Four County Players has delighted audiences with a full range of theater
experiences. Located in the small village of Barboursville, the theater is the
cultural hub for the community, serving as both an artistic and educational
center. Four County Players is well-known for its masterful musicals,
hilarious comedies, and thought-provoking dramas.
Four County Players prides itself on producing high-quality shows that

The Greene County offi ce of Virginia Cooperative Extension is your local
connection to Virginia’s land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia
State University.
Through educational programs based on research and developed with
input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Greene County
improve their lives.
We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural
Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development,
and Community Viability.

The Greene County Republican Committee is located in Greene County,
in the Central area of Virginia. The GCRC was founded on March 20, 1854.
The GCRC is a true grassroots organization. The Committee (membership)
run this local political party, according to its Bylaws.
We work locally to promote conservative values. We welcome all who are
interested in helping elect Republican candidates.
Volunteers are needed for many initiatives! We like to match your talents
with our to do list. We need help: posting signs, hosting political events, door
to door candidate promotion, recruiting volunteers, phone banking, precinct
day helpers, registering voters and more. Contact us to be part of the party!
Our big event each year is the Greene County GOP Pig Roast. Held the fi rst
Saturday each October. It is one of the longest running political events in
Virginia. 2016 marked its 36th year.
Our Committee Meetings are usually held the third Monday of the month,
