Virginia became the birthplace of American

are part of the Monticello Wine Trail which

central Virginia.

Local Television stations received through much
of the county include NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX and
PBS affi liates in Charlottesville and Richmond.
The Charlottesville stations provide frequent
coverage of county news and events. Stations
affi liated with other national networks can be
received throughout the county. Cable television
is available to most of the county with satellite
being available to areas where it is not. The local
paper, The Greene County Record, is distributed
weekly, as well as a Charlottesville paper, The
Daily Progress, which is distributed daily.
