LATINA Style, Inc. kicked off its 20th Annual LATINA Style
Business Series four-city tour on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the
AT&T Headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
The Business Series presented five informational
workshops focused on solving the most critical
business challenges faced by Latina entrepreneurs
as they start their business or plan for expansion.
The Essentials of a Successful Business panel
was moderated by Anita Leal, Senior Business
Development Officer, Lift Fund. Speakers
included Nancy Alvarez, Supervisor Business
Opportunity Specialist, SBA; Isela Aguilar, Vice
President, Banking Center Manager, Comerica
Bank; and Evelyn Dyson Lee, SWA and SEA
Stakeholder Liaison, Communications and
Liaison, Farmers Branch, Texas, IRS.

Promote Your Business and Yourself panel
was moderated by Susy Solis, Founder &
President, Solis Media Strategies. Speakers
included: Fernando A. Ceballos, P.E., Civil
Project Engineer, Pape-Dawson Engineers,
SHPE Region 5 Vice-President; and Steven
R. Eiger, Lead Channel Manager, Business
Marketing, EVP of Communications –
HACEMOS, AT&T. Panelists discussed the
personal and professional marketing strategies

Nationwide conducted by Ivette Mayo, President &
CEO, Yo Soy I Am, LLC®.

session was presented by Nationwide and
conducted by Ivette Mayo, President & CEO,
Lory Burgos & Lupita Colmenero with Winner of
Nationwide raffle donation.
The award-winning program, sponsored
by Nationwide® is designed for Latina
entrepreneurs across the nation. The day began
with a networking breakfast and opening
remarks from event chair Belinda Rodriguez,
AT&T, and title sponsor remarks by Lory
Burgos, Nationwide. Rodriguez is the vice
president of Human Resources for AT&T
Communications, which is headquartered in
Dallas, Texas. She is responsible for managing
Human Resource functions for AT&T Business.
Rodriguez greeted the audience and presented a
video with welcoming remarks from Chief
Executive Officer – Business Solutions &
International, AT&T Business, Thaddeus Arroyo.
Burgos is a 20-year Nationwide representative,
she has held a variety of leadership roles at
Nationwide, in personal lines underwriting,
customer service and marketing. Currently,
she supports the Enterprise Diverse Marketing
team as a senior consultant leading Nationwide’s
Hispanic marketing effort. Prior to this role, she
served as a business consultant supporting
Nationwide’s direct distribution channel.
