Green River Walking Trail (Jenny
Wilson Byrd Memorial Trail) runs
4.5 miles along the beautiful Green
River, starting at the Green River
Park & Arboretum and ending at
Harry Wilson Park.
EXPLORING GREEN RIVER
Take an adventure and experience Green River from a paddler’s perspective.
Routes include five of the state’s largest springs, such as the beautiful 300
Springs waterfall, as well as Mammoth Cave National Park. Choose from float
trips (2-3 hours), day trips (6-7 hours) and overnight trips. Group packages
available. Walk-ins welcome. Canoe and kayak rentals are located in the
Green River Park and Arboretum. Big Buffalo Crossing Canoe & Kayak Rentals
is located at 100 River Road, Munfordville. For reservations, call 270-774-7883.
Thelma Stovall Green River Park and Arboretum
The Green River is one of the most biologically-diverse rivers in North America.
This historic site features an arboretum of native trees and plants with
interpretive exhibits and educational displays. The park also offer covered
picnic pavilions, a
children’s playground,
disc golf, and primitive
camping. Park entry and
pavilion use are free of
charge. Canoe rental
fees vary. A boat ramp
is available. Primitive
camping is permitted,
but there are no amenities.
