This very popular KY State Resort Park is all about outdoor
adventure! Nestled inside the park is the State Dock Marina where you can rent
anything from a kayak,
pontoon, ski boat, fishing boat & jet skis to luxurious houseboats! The park also
has hiking trails, mini golf, a full disc golf course, and horseback riding.
HATCHERY CREEK TROUT STREAM – WATER TRAIL

A one of a kind trout stream that flows down a valley into the Cumberland River, allowing trout to move
between the river and stream. This exceptional stream is home to rainbow, brown and brook trout - the
state record for all three were caught right here on the Cumberland River.
WOLF CREEK NATIONAL FISH HATCHERY - HIKING TRAILS

The Fish Hatchery not only has a wonderful, indoor education center housing large scale aquariums and a
walk thru Kentucky cave & exhibits, but also includes brand new outdoor hiking and biking trails, as well as
a beautiful wooded, riverside campground. Main trails include the “Nature Explorer” hiking trail which
passes through a variety of ecosystems, winding around Hatchery Creek & then back to the Wolf Creek
National Fish Hatchery. “Whispering Pines” trail is a very gentle trail within the Kendall Recreation Area.
THE CUMBERLAND RIVER – WATER TRAIL
270-343-0153 | Beginning at the base of Wolf Creek Dam, the first 16 miles of the river to
Winfrey’s Ferry, is a great place for canoeists, kayakers, and owners of small jon boats to float and fish. A
few mildly challenging shoals exist in this stretch, perfect water for beginning canoeists and kayakers to
hone their skills. Trophy brown trout swim in the Cumberland River, as do bountiful numbers of rainbow.
The river is also home to walleye, sauger and oversized striped bass. For generation schedule, call

101 miles in length, Lake Cumberland is a perfect spot for boating and fishing of all kinds. Many coves and
inlets are perfect for kayaks and canoes. This big, beautiful & clear lake is famous as the Houseboat Capital
of the world as well as a prime lake for trophy size fishing.

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers
equipped with GPS or Smart Phone devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers called
Geocaches outdoors, and then share the experience online. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS
coordinates and then attempt to find the Geocache container hidden at that location. Jamestown &
Russell Springs are home to hundreds of “hidden treasures.” Go to Geocaching.com to download your
