families in Virginia, Maryland and DC pay
for life-saving cancer treatments for their
pets. The program strives to provide hope
and options for pet owners facing a cancer
diagnosis. Whether it’s several months or
several years, additional quality time with a
beloved companion is something that will
be cherished forever.
After applying to the Companions in
Crisis program, Gil was awarded a signifi -
cant sum to help pay for Jackson’s treatment.
For Gil, this funding meant that Jackson
could get the help he needed right away.
On average, FETCH will fund 20 to
30 percent of treatment costs for families
in need. This amount helps alleviate the
burden pet owners are faced with after discovering
their best friend has cancer. With
the help of Companions in Crisis, Jackson
is now responding beautifully to his treatment
and is well on his way to remission.
How You Can Help
FETCH a Cure’s vision is simple: a community
where no one is denied a choice for their
pet’s health due to lack of options, education
or funding. Working on behalf of pet owners,
FETCH is raising awareness and furthering
education about pet cancer’s early warning
signs and early detection.
When pet owners are given the resources
and tools they need to make informed decisions
for their companions, they can improve
the quality of life of their beloved animals.
