Riecer's Corner
Napa
Cabbage
& Bleu
Cheese
I would like to introduce my friend from
Western New York, Riecer. She will be bringing to you
recipes, thoughts and stories this season from the cold
north. I asked her for this particular recipe as I have had it
and it is wonderful! She has many requests for this
and it makes a great dish to bring to any gathering.
If you have any recipes you would like to share
with her or stories you can e-mail her at
riecerscorner@yahoo.com. Thanks for the contribution
Riecer and welcome to Zephyrhills Today!
1/3 C Cider Vinegar
¼ t Dry Mustard
1 t Celery Seed
2 Clvs Garlic – finely minced
½ t White Pepper
2 T White Sugar
¼ C Onion – minced
¾ C Veg Oil
8 oz Bleu Cheese – crumbled
1 Hd Nappa Cabbage – cut to bite size pieces
kept cool & crisp
Mix/Stir/Shake cider through vinegar – very well.
Pour over cabbage, combine well, serve immediately.
Just a little tip: When chopping garlic and onions if
you want to get rid of the smell on your hands, wet them and wipe
on the stainless steel faucet. Smell goes away almost instantly!
