Thank You Soldiers
Dear Soldiers,
Thank you for the gift you gave
For all the sacrices made
Thank you for the time alone;
Wet, tired and cold to the bone.
Sent to ght in a foreign land
Family dying holding your hand.
You carried their ghost from place to place
Trying hard to remember their face.
When it was over, they sent you home
But even with family, you’re still alone.
No one could know, no one could feel
The loss of your youth, your scares are all real.
Too little, too late; I’m saying to you
Thanks for all you had to do.
We owe you so much; our freedom, our pride.
To you; all our soldiers, who lived and who died
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
