HOME SCHOOL NATURE AND SCIENCE
PROGRAMS (4-12 yrs)
Bring your children to Rotary Park to learn about the nature and
natural history of Florida. Programs are geared for a broad age
group and include hands on activities or projects. Participants
should wear shoes and clothes appropriate for hiking and
outdoor exploration. Advanced registration is required.

FLORIDA FRIENDLY LANDSCAPING (16+ yrs)
Learn what plants to use where, how to create a beautiful and
eco-friendly yard, how to be more efficient with your water use
and more. This is a great class for longtime residents and new
residents alike and is FREE to attend, but please RSVP.

Go with a guide to visit several Cape Coral yards to see how
others have transformed their plain Cape Coral lots into beautiful,
eco-friendly retreats. Please wear closed-toe shoes and register

With the help of experienced horticulturalists, design a personalized
landscape to fit your needs. Do you have a view you would like to

birds or butterflies? Bring a drawing of your yard and get specific information
and practical tips. Includes indoor and outdoor class time.

RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP (16+ yrs)
Rain barrels are a great way to reduce storm water runoff and to
save water for a dry spell. In this workshop led by Lee County
Master Gardeners, you will learn how to make and install a rain
barrel to use at home. The class fee includes a pre-assembled
rain barrel and is held on the same day as the annual native plant
sale. Advance registration and payment is required as a limited
number of barrels are available.
