take care of the burrows around the city.
No experience necessary – you can learn
it here! These meetings are open to the
public and always have an interesting
guest speaker in addition to the meetings.

KARATE FOR SELF DEFENSE (18+ yrs)
Karate as self-defense trains your physical motor skills. All techniques
are taught by Hilmar Fuchs in a fun, safe atmosphere.
Participants do not need to be well coordinated or in top physical
condition. Martial Arts experience is required.

YOGA ESSENTIALS (16+ yrs)
This class begins with basic energy balancing techniques, then
adds in breathwork and a combination of standing and floor
poses to work on increasing strength, flexibility and balance.
Each class ends with meditation to quiet the mind and covers
yoga essentials that will help to improve your health and sense
of well-being. Please bring a yoga mat, block, strap, towel and
water. No class 1/21, 2/18.

YOGA BODY SCULPT (16+ yrs)
This strength building Vinyasa flow class will focus on sculpting
your buns, thighs, and core, plus there is a relaxing Shavasana
component. Please bring a yoga mat and towel or small pillow.

PILATES (18+ yrs)
This 30-minute class focuses on abdominals with many of the
exercises done while lying on your back. Pilates can improve
your posture, back health, flexibility and overall strength. The
movements will enhance physical and mental conditioning,
which is great way to get in touch with your inner strength and
calm. There is a clear purpose behind each exercise and breathing
pattern. Class Etiquette: Bring a yoga matt, drinking water, a
towel and wear comfortable clothes.

FLORIDA ENVIRONMENT 101: Wed., January 30, 1:00-3:00pm
During this free and interesting program, learn about Florida
wildlife, local fertilizer ordinances, the importance of planting the
right plant in the right place, and other helpful information so you
can make informed, sustainable, and economical decisions. Take
home a handbook with handy tips for residents. A walking tour of

Learn about all the mammals found in Southwest Florida, including
prehistoric mammals that once roamed our land.

FISHING IN A WATERFRONT WONDERLAND:

Cape Coral Canals are home to many species of fish, both native
and exotic. Come learn about what you can catch in the canals,
discuss responsible angling practices, and find out which parks
are good for fishing and launching your boat.

If you enjoy nature and would like to attract birds, butterflies and
animals to your yard, then this is the lecture for you! We will also
