Indian Mound Park is named for the
Native American Indian mound on the 10-
acre site. It is one of the busiest public boat
launches in the area, and on any weekend
day, the parking lot will be crowded. While
you won’t find many swimmers, you will see
people fishing out on Lemon Bay, walking
the trail or enjoying a picnic lunch. There is
a covered pavilion with picnic tables which is
also a great place for meetings.

This facility sprawls across 136 acres
in Sarasota County. It includes adult and
