kayaks, canoes and SUPs...you’ll
find them and more on the many
waterways in the Englewood area. Leisure
boating is a very popular pastime here as
experienced captains and novice sailors

explore Lemon Bay, the Gulf of Mexico and
the Englewood area’s many freshwater canals,
creeks and lakes. If you don’t own your own
boat, you can rent a kayak for a leisurely paddle
up Coral Creek or explore the Gulf on a fishing
charter with one of the area’s experienced boat
captains.
Florida ranks number one in the country for
adult anglers. It seems that everyone you meet
in Englewood has a story about the one that
got away or the one that didn’t, and soon you
will too.
If you like to stay on dry land, there are
enough golf courses to keep you swinging every
day! Tennis players will find excellent courts in
several public recreational sites, and there are
also facilities at many clubs as well.

EVENTS & CELEBRATIONS
Englewood is a town that enjoys celebrating.
In February there is the week-long “Lemon Bay
Fest - Englewood History with Zest”, with a
variety of events dedicated to the town’s history
and founding families. The crowds come out
to enjoy live music at the F.A.M.E. concerts to
support music education in our schools. The
