SUSAN TEARE
photographs residential and
commercial architecture and
landscape design. Her work
is featured in publications
including the widely
praised Salvage Secrets (W.W.
Norton, 2011), and its followup,
Salvage Secrets Design &
Décor (W.W. Norton 2013).
A graduate of Bowdoin
College with a B.A. in art
history, Susan splits her time
between northern Vermont
and Colorado.
There’s no greater feeling
for ABIGAYLE GRATTAN,
owner of Chatham-based
Grattan Imaging, than being
in an inspiring space with a
camera in hand. Professionally
trained at the New England
School of Photography, she
photographs everything from
tiny cottages to multi-million
dollar estates throughout
New England. She shot the
1823 captain’s home on Ryder’s
Cove recently renovated by the
Eastward Companies.
A freelance writer and editor
currently based in Stoughton,
DAN MATHERS spent
many summers as a kid in
Falmouth, where his article
on a BRICC Award-winning
home is based. His work has
appeared in such magazines
as Backpacker, Adirondack
Life, Cape Cod Life, Cape Cod
Magazine and South Shore
Living. An avid hiker and
kayaker, he also publishes the
Northeast outdoors website
NortheastExplorer.com.
LISA CAVANAUGH grew
up in Massachusetts and
Connecticut and spent most
of her summers on Cape Cod.
After college, she moved
to Los Angeles where she
became a Hollywood story
editor, producer and writer.
Having since come back, she
writes for local non-profits
and pens stories about the
rich variety of lifestyles,
occupations and interests of
Cape Codders. She lives with
her husband in Yarmouth.
