SUPPORT SERVICES
PHSC offers a full range of services designed to
support student success.
Admissions
The first step to leaving your mark and making it gold
starts in the PHSC Office of Admissions and Student
Records with an application for admission. A $25
non-refundable application fee may be paid online at
the time of application or at any PHSC College Store.
Advising
Academic advisors provide current and accurate
information on college policies, procedures,
resources and programs. Advisors work with
students to create class schedules and to help set
and achieve educational and career goals.
Career Services
Professional staff are available to assist students
with identifying their skills and aptitudes. Students
have access to career assessments, economic data,
internships, career workshops and local jobs.
Students have access to Focus 2, an online, career
planning system. Students may complete selfassessments,
explore occupational interests, and
search for related career programs at PHSC or
change their initial selection. This tool can help guide
students along their career path.
Financial Aid
There are many options to pay for education and
training. Financial aid is available through grants,
scholarships, direct student loans and student
employment. To determine financial eligibility, submit
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
online at fafsa.ed.gov. PHSC’s school code is 010652.
Scholarships
The PHSC Foundation offers more than 220 endowed
scholarships and over 50 annual scholarships. The
foundation scholarship application priority deadline is
the second Friday in April.
Accessibility Services
The Office of Student Accessibility Services provides
support and assistance to students with disabilities
based on need and documentation.
Academic Success Center (ASC)
The ASC provides the support necessary for
academic success including tutoring, testing services
and individualized instructional materials. ASCs are
located on each campus.
Student Life and Leadership
The Student Life and Leadership department offers
more than 50 student clubs and organizations. Events
and activities develop life and leadership skills, and
promote citizenship and personal growth. Students
are encouraged to participate and get involved.
