Supervision and Management–Health Care
Management
The supervision and management program with a
concentration in Healthcare Management uses a 2+2
model that requires applicants to have an associate’s
degree or equivalent for entry into the program.
Individuals in this field could hold positions
including health care service managers, health care
administrators, health care facility directors and
medical practice managers.
Dental Health
Today’s dentists are at the forefront of a range of
new developments in dental implants, computer
generated imaging, and cosmetic and aesthetic
procedures and often rely on other dental
practitioners for assistance. The responsibilities
of dental hygienists and dental assistants include
processing X-rays, creating dental casts, preparing
instruments and performing oral cleanings.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
EMS professionals are responsible for quick
assessment of medical crises and can respond
appropriately to patient needs. Emergency medical
professionals receive intensive classroom, clinical
and real-world training to prepare them for managing
medical emergencies.
Nursing
Nursing staff members include nursing assistants,
licensed practical nurses and registered nurses.
Nursing assistants work under the direction of a
nurse or a physician and support the patient’s daily
care needs. Nurses collaborate with health care
team members in multiple environments, including
hospitals and physician’s offices.
Radiography
Radiographers receive extensive education in
human anatomy and train to use high-tech imaging
equipment. Radiologic technologists work in hospital
or outpatient clinical settings and with additional
training, may work as computerized tomography (CT)
and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists,
mammographers or in other imaging specializations.
