JUST FOR KIDS
HOME SCHOOL NATURE AND SCIENCE
PROGRAMS (2-15 yrs)
Designed for homeschooled children to learn about the nature
and natural history of Florida, these programs are geared
toward a broad age group. Participants will make a related craft
in some programs. Shoes and clothes appropriate for outdoor
exploration are required.
HOME & GARDEN
Please register in advance for all of the following programs.
BUTTERFLY GARDEN DESIGN (18+ yrs)
Learn all about butterflies found in this area and what
specific plants and flowers are best to attract them. Please
bring pictures or drawings of your yard so the instructor can
help you design a butterfly friendly landscape of your own. Tour
the butterfly house and garden as part of this class, too.

INTRO TO FLORIDA FRIENDLY LANDSCAPING (18+ yrs)
A great class for longtime residents and new residents alike. Learn
what plants to use and where, how to create a beautiful and ecofriendly
yard, be efficient with your use of water and more. There
will be time after class to walk around outside and discuss the
plants at the park. This class is FREE, but please RSVP.

County Master Gardeners. There will be time for questions
and answers after each class and a walk around the park
to discuss Florida friendly gardening principles. Coffee and

FLORIDA FRIENDLY YARDS TOUR (18+ yrs)
Don’t miss out - this tour only takes place once in the fall and
once in the spring. Visit several Florida friendly yards in Cape
Coral. Your guide and the homeowners will provide plenty of
information, inspiration, and gardening tips. BYO drinking water
and wear closed-toed shoes, please.

NATURE OF CAPE CORAL BUS TOUR (All Ages)
Join a knowledgeable guide from the Cape Coral Friends of
Wildlife on this unique tour to see the real nature of Cape Coral.
Possible sightings include: burrowing owls, manatees, osprey,
eagles, scrub jays, hawks, and a variety of shore & songbirds.
With limited seats available, advance registration is required.
Bring a camera, binoculars, and wear walking shoes. Guests will
get off the vehicle at each stop to walk around.
