MEET ST. PETE
BREWMASTERS
Nathan
Stonecipher,
Green Bench
Brewing Co.
What’s going
on in the local
craft beer scene?
St. Pete's craft beer scene is booming and
it's exciting to watch! I think it's taken off
due to the collection of creative people
who live here. We have brewers who want
to do new things and think outside the
box, and we have a supportive community
that enjoys experimenting along with us.
What makes St. Petersburg special?
St. Pete is great for many reasons: our
weather is fantastic, our location on the
waterfront capped by our park system
is beautiful, the diversity of arts found
here is impressive, our residents are
friendly and collaborative, and we have
a booming mix of independent businesses
that truly make our city unique.

What's gong
on in the local
craft beer scene?
Well let me
tell you it's booming. Few big, but
many smaller breweries are
popping up everywhere. Many of the
breweries are within walking distance
of each other. In the Grand Central
District, there are at least 8 to try.
THEATER, DANCE,
FILM & MOVIES
freeFall Theater is a regional theater
company. American Stage is
a professional theater company
offering six mainstage productions
each season in the Raymond James
Theatre, as well as the a popular
American Stage in the Park production
in April. Both theater companies
present bold, caring and innovative
interpretations of classic and new
works. St. Petersburg City Theater
is the city’s oldest theater company
now celebrating its 95th season.
At Studio@620, you’ll enjoy a small,
intimate space that celebrates local
talent in art, film, dance, poetry and
more. The Sunscreen Film Festival,
held annually in April, is a showcase
of indie films from around the
world, with many Hollywood actors
attending the series of film screenings,
workshops and parties.
There are also free weekly outdoor
movies every week in May at North
Straub Park downtown sponsored
by Preserve the ‘Burg, and more
literary films sponsored by some
of the local museums, including a
summer cult classic film series in
the garden at the Dali Museum.
St. Pete also has three traditional
movie theaters showing the latest
Hollywood releases: AMC Sundial
20 at Sundial Plaza downtown, Cobb
Tyrone Luxury 10 at Tyrone Square
Mall, and Regal Cinemas Park Place
16 at the Shoppes at Park Place.
