Eligibility: Living or deceased veterans
of the military and was either born in
Georgia, or entered the military in Georgia, or have lived in

Lieutenant Colonel Allan
Georgia was inducted into the
Veterans’ Hall of Fame for his
outstanding leadership, valor,
and exemplary life of unyielding
his community, and his fellow
Americans.
Lieutenant Colonel Imes served
duty, including three tours in
Vietnam in Ranger, Special Forces
(Green Beret), and SOG (Studies
and Observation Group) units. For
his wartime action, he was awarded
the Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze
Star, Air Medal for Valor, and the
Soldiers Medal.
After his Army career, Lieutenant
Colonel Imes served for the next
17 years as the director of the
(JROTC). There, he was directly
instrumental in the transformation
of hundreds of students into
mature and patriotic adults, while
growing this JROTC unit into the
largest in the nation.
For his life-long dedication
to our nation, our freedom,
our veterans, our youth, and
the citizens of his community,
Lieutenant Colonel Imes
rightfully has earned the rare,
noble, and high honor to be
of the Georgia Military Veterans’
Hall of Fame.
