The two best things about the holidays are spending time
with family and getting presents. This year, we carry on
the Watermark family tradition of gifts we would like to
see in our box — under the tree — and in our socks — in our
stockings. Hopefully our family may spark some ideas in what you
can get your family, ranging from big gifts to little thoughtful ones.

For my socks this year I am
hoping for a “Snow White
and the Seven Dwarfs”
coffee mug. Specifically
one of the seven dwarfs.
I already have Grumpy, but I’m looking
to collect them all. This way I can choose
the one I want to use based on my current
state of mind. You’ll want to stand back
when I’m using the Sneezy mug! ($15.06 @
Amazon.com)
In my box I am hoping to
see a massage gun. Let’s
face it; I’m not getting any
younger. My feet hurt and
muscles I didn’t know I had
are sore. This high intensity massager would
go a long way in keeping my muscles ready
for the next softball tournament. (Theragun

Something I would love
stuffed in my stocking is
a bath pillow. The only
thing that can make a soak
in the tub more relaxing
is having a pillow to rest your head on. A
rolled towel that slips would be a thing of the
past compared to the suction cups on this!

This year my Christmas list
includes a Furbo dog camera
for under the tree. The
camera lets you talk to your
pets throughout the day and even throw them
treats! I can’t wait to see what the dog and
cat are up to when they think no one is home
watching them. ($199.00 @ Amazon.com)

As a fanboy of all things
superheroes and a selfdiagnosed
hypochondriac,
you can imagine my delight
if from my sock I pulled out
a book that covered both these obsessions
— DC Comics’ “Anatomy of a Metahuman.”
This 160-page graphic novel is presented as
a collection of files detailing the anatomy,
psychology and abilities of DC’s greatest
heroes. As I write this I can feel a lump in my
throat, do you think it might be Kryptonite
poisoning? ($24.99 @ Barnes & Noble)
While I have enjoyed the
Samsung Galaxy series of
smart phones over the last
several years, under the
tree this holiday season I
would like to find the new Google Pixel 4.
The sleek, beautiful, “Oh So Orange” Pixel
4 features the best camera on any device,
an improved Google Assistant and the new
built-in Motion Sense that let’s your phone
start working for you even before you pick
it up. Plus a smart phone manufactured by
the same company that makes all the other
smart devices in my home will not only make
for easier communication but will please
our great Google overlord. Praise Google!

I’d love to pull the Disney
Store’s limited edition
“The Little Mermaid
Sketchbook Ornament”
out of my sock this year to
place at the top of our tree. The 2019 release
recreates the film’s iconic “Kiss The Girl”
scene and honors its 30th anniversary. It’s
perfect for the holiday sea-son! ($19.95 @
ShopDisney.com)
I’m late to the party but for
my box I’d love a Nintendo
Switch. I’m a PlayStation
fan, but unfortunately
“Marvel Ultimate Alliance
3” isn’t. The sequel is a Nintendo exclusive
and not even the combined might of the
Avengers and X-Men have been reason
enough to justify buying it to play one game.

In my sock I’d like five
rolls of Kodak Professional
T-Max 400, Black and White
Film. Anyone who’s worked
in a photographic darkroom
knows the look, feel and quite honestly the
nostalgic smell. It’s been a while since I’ve
played with analogue photography and what
better way to get back in it than a few rolls
of some of the industry standard black and
white film. ($5.79/roll @ BHPhotovideo.com)
In my box I’d like Holdfast
Money Maker | Bridle
Leather, Black - Dual
Camera Strap. Any
photographer that carries
two cameras knows it’s a hassle. With the
HoldFast Money Maker dual camera strap I’d
be able to carry everything I need while being
stylish at all the events Watermark covers.
Black leather and functionality — Yes please!

I wear prescription

Unfortunately, I’m not
able to wear contacts, so
glasses it is.
