This is a great class for longtime residents and new residents
alike. Learn what plants to use where, how to create a beautiful
and eco-friendly yard, how to be more efficient with your water

Go with a guide to visit several Cape Coral yards to see how
others have transformed their plain Cape Coral lots into beautiful,
eco-friendly retreats. Please wear closed-toe shoes and register
in advance as there are limited seats available.

DESIGN A FLORIDA FRIENDLY YARD (18+ yrs)
With the help of experienced horticulturalists, design a personalized
landscape to fit your needs. Do you have a view you would like to
block? Or maybe you have a dry area, soggy area, or shady area?
Want to plant for birds or butterflies? Bring a drawing of your yard
and get specific information and practical tips. Includes indoor and
outdoor class time.

RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP (16+ yrs)
Rain barrels are a great way to reduce storm water runoff and to
save water for a dry spell. In this workshop led by Lee County
Master Gardeners, you will learn how to make and install a rain
barrel to use at home. The class fee includes a pre-assembled
rain barrel and is held on the same day as the annual native plant
sale. Advance registration and payment is required as a limited
number of barrels are available.
$45 per barrel
