The Prophet a
An orphan before he opened his eyes,
Allah created a man whose heart held no lies.
He was sent to this world as a guide,
But yet everyone he knew left his side.
Before he came into bibi Aminah’s life,
Mysterious things happened to Abdullah’s wife.
In Abdul Muttalib’s lineage he came,
They gave Muhammad Mustafa a his name.
Departing from his mother,
Came the incident of shaqq sadr
The angels arrived, cleansing his heart,
So that he may be pure from the very start
Dai Haleema who fed our beloved one,
Had her doubts to return bibi Aminah’s son.
Six long years, yes it was late
But for our Prophet a, it was worth the wait.
by Fatima Abbasi
In that same year, Allah tested him for the first time,
He never lost hope and became Abdul Muttalib’s pride.
Thereafter his grandfather was called back to his Lord,
He then became uncle Abu Talib’s sword.
The people of Quraysh called him al-Ameen
Because in him, the radiance of a prophet could be seen.
In those years, Khadija j became his wife,
She became a comfort in his life.
The people who had asked for her hand in marriage were
wealthier,
But Allah had already decreed what was best for her.
Angel Jibril e was sent down to convey the command,
But the Beloved Prophet a didn’t know how to read or write
with his hand
Saying ‘read, read’ but he could not read,
It was like planting a flower without a seed.
40 years Allah revealed upon him,
He became the light which could not be made dim.
In those years, trying to spread the good,
Abu Bakr g was the first among the men who obeyed what
he could.
The nur of Islam, the religion of light,
Would blind the kuffar and give them the true sight.
The years went on, sadness took part,
Allah had called the two who were closest to his heart,
He made sure to hold on tight to his rope,
To show his Umma to never lose hope.
The Prophet a made du‘a to his Lord to strengthen Islam,
So Allah gave Umar g, this beautiful blessing and in’am
Conquering Makka Mukarrama, spreading the word,
The disbelievers finally started to understand their Lord
But soon sickness came which brought much pain,
That would have definitely made us insane.
Staying with Ayesha j gave him ease,
For that, he asked all of his wives so that they may be pleased.
Friday came, he gave his last speech,
But that did not mean Islam would stop being preached.
So we must always remember that we are not alone,
Because all the Prophets left and went under the shade of
Allah’s throne.
