Most campuses have student organizations dedicated to community service.
Participating in these organizations is a great way to get to know your fellow
students and learn more about the local community.
Institutions often offer study abroad opportunities, allowing students to earn
credits toward their degree by taking classes at colleges in other countries
either during the summer or for a semester. Some colleges also have
agreements with other colleges across the United States, allowing you to
spend a semester on another campus without paying out-of-state tuition.
Universities often offer dozens, if not hundreds, of clubs and organizations.
You can continue to pursue a passion or completely reinvent yourself and try
something new. Don’t miss out on these fun opportunities.

Self-Advocacy
Self-advocacy is knowing when to speak up for yourself. A large part of self-advocacy is understanding your strengths
and weaknesses, goal development and making decisions. As a self-advocate, you should create goals for yourself
and know how to achieve them. The ability to advocate for yourself is important during college because you must
communicate your needs in order to receive the support necessary to succeed during your educational career.
