The County Men of Note are a group of men from all walks of life;
a band of brothers; who love to share their vocal talent. Under the
direction of Roger Mills, a retired Minister of Music, they love praising
our God, honoring Country, and recognizing military veterans and

enjoyed singing, and today has grown to 16 members. Our
performances have consisted of singing the National Anthem at
various sporting events, as well as Lucas Oil Stadium and the

Pomme de Terre Community Choir is a group of area vocalists
and musicians who come together twice each year to volunteer
Each production takes weeks of preparation and practice prior
to their public debut. For each cantata, the Pomme de Terre
Community Choir performs four times within the Hickory County
area. One performance is always reserved for Hermitage Nursing
& Rehab, and one performance is done at the “host” church.

Choir members are not required to read music, and there are no tryouts to join. Choir members are asked to attend at least 75% of the
rehearsals and 100% of the performances. In addition to the vocalists, the Pomme de Terre Community uses other areas of talent,

individually as well as with the adult choir. From 1995-1997, Rev. Tony Ball took over the duties as choir director. For the Christmas
Cantata of 1997, Carolyn Russell was elected the new director, and she continues to direct the Pomme de Terre Community Choir today.
On June 2, 2019, the choir celebrated their 35th Anniversary with a special Homecoming Celebration, inviting previous choir members
to sing with the current choir.
