the 34th Annual Rendezvous, originally scheduled for May 2-3,
has been postponed. We are planning to reschedule this event,
for upcoming dates and times at Pomme de Terre Rendezvous.
The annual Pomme de Terre Rendezvous is held each year
provides visitors with a glimpse of pre-1840s life for early
American pioneers and settlers in the area. There is a
pre-1840 rendezvous encampment where participants wear
primitive clothing and stay in tents and tee-pees that were
common at that time
Many participants will be demonstrating pioneer skills and
displaying crafts – including blacksmithing, weaving,
pottery, children’s games, and more. There will also be
music, food, and various merchants of arts and crafts.
You may want to try your hand at archery shooting, or
throwing an atlatl or tomahawk. Be sure to see the
French artillery canon demonstration and check out the

An auction will be held on Saturday afternoon. You
never know what may be up for bid. The proceeds of
the auction go to support the Pomme de Terre
Rendezvous Scholarship Fund.

moved to the present location at the Outlet Park below the dam to provide
additional space, and to take advantage of the natural beauty of the area,
pioneers and settlers.
County Historical Society. During those years, the Rendezvous grew
tremendously, in both scope and popularity. In 1988, due to the rapid
growth and increasing complexity, the Pomme de Terre Rendezvous
Association was created to sponsor and manage the event.
During 2015, the Pomme de Terre Rendezvous Committee was formed and is now responsible for sponsoring, organizing,
and growing this event. The Committee is comprised of talented local volunteers dedicated to providing participants and
visitors alike with a fun and educational experience while continuing to preserve and share the pioneer history of the area.
In addition to the Rendezvous, the Committee sponsors a School Day activity for local school age children on the Friday
