Ramadan Devotional Chart
Filling out a chart helps us be more conscious of how we spend our time and maximizing it in dhikr and du‘a. Using a chart, the user will notice
progress in the amount and intensity of devotions over time, inshallah (devotions can be adjusted according to changing schedules). Here is how the
chart system works:
1. Decide which devotions you want to complete and how many times a day. Select the du‘a or dhikr and note the amount on the chart in number
box. Once completed, check mark it in the appropriate box according to date of completion.
2. For salat, praying jama‘at at home with family is recommended during quarantine as imitation of the Sunna is more rewarding. If prayed with
family, mark the chart with the letter ( j) for jama‘at; if alone, mark ‘without jama‘at’ with (w) ; if missed and qada must be made, mark ‘qada’ with (q).
3. It is important that these devotions be uttered with complete presence of heart for maximum benefit. The stronger the presence of heart the more
1
The most beloved words to Allah (Muslim). Increases 100 rewards, removes
100 sins, and reciter is protected against Shaytan (Bukhari).
2
This du‘a incorporates the best of Deen and dunya (Muslim).
3
So powerful, angels are baffled on how to reward the utterer. Allah says, “I
will reward the utterer Myself” (Ibn Maja).
4
The Prophet a uttered this 70/100 times a day (Bukhari, Abu Dawud).
Istighfar removes rust that builds up in the heart (Muslim).

being thrown in the fire (Buhkari, Tirmidhi).
7
The best form of dhikr (Tirmidhi).
8
Make this du‘a in hardship and Allah will replace it with good (Tirmidhi).
9

effective the worship, the more it will be accepted, inshallah.
4. The best salat and salam is the Durud Ibrahimi that is recited in salat. Salat and salam puts barakah in the wealth and fulfils needs of the Akhirah
(Tirmidhi).
5. Don’t feel it with the selected du‘a? Not to worry. Customize your own set of devotions. The importance is attachment to the worship, so if another
set of devotions is closer to the heart, then by all means incorporate it into the daily devotions.
6. It is Sunna to recite Surah Mulk every night before going to bed; it also saves from punishment of the grave (Tirmidhi).
