Dear Patti, I was so touched and
appreciative of your kindness,
remembering Canon Luke’s
ordination anniversary on August
2, 2018 by Cardinal Raymond
Burke, and Fr. Ivan’s letter with
the gift of his Holy Mass for our
son. And, then, I was even more
edified by reading of your
accident and recovery in the
Dedicated Decades.
I wanted to share with you
that, at this Covid-madness in
the world and in our country,
the Zignego family fought back! We were given a statue of Mary, which had
been abandoned on the property of a church being sold for an “event venue.”
We rescued her and had her repainted. On August 1, Saturday, we installed
her in an alcove shrine in front of the Zignego’s company office in Pewaukee,
Wisconsin. Canon Luke officiated with the blessing and gathering of the Zignego
family, making their consecration to the Immaculate Conception and the
Immaculate Heart of Mary.
In 1954, my husband’s father
and uncle began the Zignego Paving
Company, choosing the colors - blue
and white, for their equipment in
honor of Our Lady, but they never
formally had a consecration. So,
while so many in our country are
tearing down statues, we put one
up! Terry built the alcove out of
cherry wood brought from some
farm / hunting land that they own
in WI. He is not a carpenter so it
took him weeks to do this. It was
a work of love!
We get together twice a month
and make Rosaries. These will be
coming to you.
Your prayers and those of the
Living Rosary are so appreciated
by our family.
