A New
WATERFRONT
PLAYGROUND
THE ST. PETE PIER
Just opened in summer 2020, the
new 26-acre St. Pete Pier District is
a crown jewel in the city’s downtown
waterfront park system. It’s the ultimate
place to stroll, bike, dine, drink,
shop, swim, have a picnic or just
relax—an experience and a destination
not to be missed.
A pier has graced St. Pete’s downtown
waterfront since the 1800s,
settled here. But this newest version
transforms the landscape,
creating a seamless connection
with downtown
restaurants, museums
and shops. Enter the
district at Bayshore Boulevard near
the St. Petersburg Municipal Marina,
one block down from Beach Drive.
Follow the lushly landscaped promenade
that takes you to the Pier
Marketplace, a small, unique shopping
area with pop-up market stalls
offering locally crafted art, accessories
and specialty food. Continue on to
enjoy the many activity centers and
dining options, or simply stroll along
the large pedestrian pathway for
spectacular views of the water and
the downtown skyline.
