A Conversation with Sharon Perez
We also have an extended family of vendors who worked with us to keep the properties maintained. They were
able to collaborate with our managers via virtual classes so they could still earn their continuing education credits
to keep their licenses compliant. We never would have been able to accomplish everything we did without the
extraordinary group of resources from our Preferred Vendor Program.
Actually, I added this benefit to our already successful program back in 2011 after running into a vendor who
used to get a lot of business and for no particular reason, no longer was. I thought it would be a good idea to
invite him to the office to re-connect with some of the managers and introduce him to the new ones he might not
have met. This plan was such a success that now every single vendor (with some exceptions) is invited to do the
same. Some leave our office with 3-5 leads -- those are leads requesting proposals. That’s the kind of meeting
that only takes 30 minutes, but you just can’t replace that.
We now have hundreds of preferred vendors who join our program to be featured on our website, in digital
ads, and of course in our annual APEX Report that is a Preferred Vendor Publication. With a circulation of over
20,000 in print, it is delivered digitally to subdivisions across W. Central Florida and to the 30,000+ units we
manage in the Tampa Bay area. This catalog of vetted resources provides the insight homeowners need to find
and hire the right people for all their repairs and renovations. We are providing them with another level of trust in
service providers; so, there’s a check and a balance there for them.
All of this speaks to our company’s culture. Ameri-Tech
and its vendors support one another so we may most
effectively support our clients. The best part is, I know
we are really helping people.
What’s next for Ameri-Tech?
In addition to our three offices, the goal is to open
several more in the Hillsborough area. We have plans
to expand further S. to the Bradenton and Sarasota
areas and east to Orlando.
All the way around, our work is rewarding. We get
hired; we do a good job. The boards are happy, the
communities are happy, and the properties look great.
Besides benefitting from incredible vendors who are
responsive, we are also able to help them build their
businesses. As we grow, they grow. It’s win-win.
Bottom line, we’re in the people business. Ameri-Tech
manages communities, provides real estate services,
and helps prepare our communities with Emergency
Management Services. We are all about building
relationships and forming bonds with board members,
residents, and vendors. That’s the key to long-term success. And that has been key with us pulling together in
this, or any crisis. We have worked long enough and hard enough for this solid foundation on which we stand.
Like other American-based businesses, Ameri-Tech continues to find ways to exceed expectations, even in the
worst of times. If you are interested in a presentation to see what they can do for your community, or wish to
