Park Projects Update
By the community, for the community, the $60 million Parks General Obligation (GO) Bond, approved by Cape Coral
voters in 2018, is building new parks, adding amenities to existing parks, and securing the future of Cape Coral.

city functions on an unprecedented
scale, the Parks GO Bond is
funding the development of seven new
neighborhood parks, an environmental
park, three community parks, including
a change in atmosphere at the Yacht
Club Community Park, plus improvements
at several existing facilities. These
upgrades will positively impact the
quality of life, economic health, and
overall resilience in Cape Coral.
Four of the new neighborhood parks
are expected to break ground this fall,
and several projects (highlighted below)
have been recently completed with GO
Bond funds or through the Parks operating
and/or capital expense budget.

BMX Park
• Asphalt parking lot installed at
BMX track
• Concrete pad poured for BMX
staging area
· Three clay infields resurfaced
Camelot Park
• Both parking lots and walking
path repaired and repaved
• Permanent corn hole court
installed
• Tennis/Pickleball courts
resurfaced and relined for
two tennis courts or four
pickleball courts
Coral Oaks Golf Course
• Parking lot repaired, repaved,
and relined
Giuffrida Park
• New perimeter fence and curb
installed around playground
• Shade structure over
playground and two new play
structures installed
Joe Stonis Park
• Permanent corn hole court installed
• Tennis/Pickleball courts resurfaced
and relined for two tennis courts
or six pickleball courts (including
2 warm-up courts)
Koza Saladino Park
• Asphalt replacement and repairs
completed on driveway
• New playground installed
Multi-Sport Complex
• Concrete pads and new player
benches installed on four softball fields
• Sod installation on soccer fields
NW Softball Complex
• New playground installed
• Two 20' pavilions installed with
eight new picnic tables
• Five clay infields resurfaced
Paul Sanborn Park
• Permanent corn hole court installed
Pelican Baseball Complex
• Asphalt repairs, replacement, and
extension completed
• New playground installed
• Four dugout shade structures

Pelican Soccer Complex
• New 8’ perimeter fence installed
• Parking lot repaired, striped,
and wheel stops replaced
• Sod restoration of soccer
fields 1-3
Rotary Park
• Parking lot repaired,

• LED stadium lighting installed
on practice football fifield
Horton Park
