A Message from our President & CEO
Welcome to the 54th season of your Florida
Orchestra.
This is it! The moment we have all waited for. We
are thrilled to bring back The Florida Orchestra at
full power for full audiences throughout Tampa
Bay.
We’re holding nothing back – from the bold
triumph of Beethoven’s Ninth to the love and
sorrow of Mahler’s Fifth and the stunning beauty
of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 – all under
the leadership of Music Director Michael Francis.
Plus, don’t miss popular concerts like the Music
of Star Wars and FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE video game concert as well as
The Wild West concert in partnership with the James Museum. (Please see
FloridaOrchestra.org for our full schedule.) And we’re doing it all with the utmost
safety. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to
make your health and safety our top priorities.
This season’s blockbuster lineup builds on the momentum of last season – thanks
to you. We truly believe in the power of music to bring people together to
share, heal, laugh and grow, so we do everything we can to be there for our
community when we need it most. Last season that resulted in 86 concerts for
live audiences safely. You stood by us and responded with outstanding support.
I want to thank each and every one of you for making TFO a stronger, better
orchestra for Tampa Bay. Now we have the opportunity to build on our success.
The Tampa Bay area is one of the most vibrant arts and cultural communities
in America, and The Florida Orchestra is leading the way, playing a key role in
a thriving economy and so much more. Together we can make Tampa Bay the
next cultural hub of the world.
Thank you for joining us in the concert hall to hear music at its best, performed
with the passion of The Florida Orchestra. I can’t wait to experience this amazing
season with you.
