Earlier this year, the Monmouth County
Historical Association (MCHA) invited
everyone to share their stories, photos,
artwork and memories of the Sept. 11 terrorist
attacks. This collection of unique reminiscences
are a living history of how this day
impacted Monmouth County in ways both
big and small. These gathered materials
have been preserved for perpetual remembrance
in the MCHA archives in Freehold.
Guest-curated by Professor Melissa Ziobro
of Monmouth University and designed by
Stan Cain, the exhibit honors Monmouth
County’s 147 victims and included all
their photographs, published obituaries or
other tributes.
Special attention has also been paid to
cinematographer Adam Worth, MCHA Board of Trustees President Linda

impactful exhibit.
Additionally, Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon debuted
