Don’t miss the library’s book sale! The library staff has weeded
hundreds of old titles on all kinds of topics, priced on average at just $1
each (or make an offer). These books are in near-perfect condition and
sell quickly, so check the sale tables every two weeks for new items.
Visitors are invited to sponsor a Meeker Book restoration.
Many of these 100-year-old books need immediate rebinding and
restoration. Sponsorship is $250 per book to pay for the professional
historic book re-binder.
As always, each month also features the works of local artists
who display and make available for sale a vast array of art. There’s always
some unique, and 20 percent of sales goes directly to support
the library. In October, Catherine O’Keefe shares her elegant watercolor
art, and Mary Leather returns with her always sold-out handmade
soaps, graphic arts and pottery. Coming in November are the handmade
wood crafted gifts from artist Michael Geary of Michael-Made.
Joining him will be Wendy Cettina Original Designs with her sewn
baskets and bags.
For contactless curbside pickup, reserve titles by emailing rscirc@
will be tagged with your name and placed in plastic bags on a table at
the back door of the library.
