OUT . . .!
Returning fresh and inspired from a recent, triumphant, soldout
series of concerts in Italy, the four-member vocal quartet
from New Orleans is ready, willing and eager to take their songs
out to the world and they are confident that the world is ready
to receive them.
This fall they will be featured on a jazz cruise to Cozumel,
Mexico, bringing their smooth, melodic group harmony sound and

As icing on the cake, they were invited to return to Italy and
perform a series of Christmas and New Year’s Eve concerts.
“They love us over there,” said William “Billy” Mims, one of the
two members who have been with the group since it was founded
in 1972. The New Orleans Mystics – consisting of Mims, Mike
“Soul Man” Baptiste, Lee Barnes and Freddie Johnson Jr. – have
now sung in Italy several times, in addition to Mexico, Japan and
all over the U.S. and locally. “They love us everywhere we go,”
Mims proudly added.
