on Our Famous Beaches
Lido Beach
North of Siesta Beach and biking distance
from St. Armands Circle, Lido Beach holds its
own in the Sarasota beach popularity contest.
North Lido is beloved for its white sand and,
among locals, for its legendary concession
stand lobster rolls. North Lido Beach also
offers poolside lounging at its swimming pool.
The southern end of Lido Key provides both
Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota bayside beach
access. South Lido Beach is a popular beach
for boaters to anchor and hop out, and is an
ideal location for kayaking and outdoor grilling.
Venice Beach
Siesta Beach
In south Sarasota County, Venice Beach holds
the coveted title of “Shark Tooth Capital of the
World” for its seemingly endless collection of
prehistoric megalodon shark teeth just waiting
to be dug from the sand. Venice also offers
some of the area’s finest pier fishing at the
Venice Fishing Pier.
Visiting with a furry friend? Located near
the Venice Fishing Pier, Venice’s Brohard Paw
Park is one of the only dog-friendly beaches
in Florida. Bring Fido along for a splash in
the Gulf!
