Ted Sperling Park
On the south end of Lido Key, Ted Sperling Park

Celery Fields
Early birds get the worm (and the best avian
sightings) at Celery Fields, deemed by the
Sarasota Audubon Society as the ideal
birdwatching location in Sarasota. Consisting of
open marshlands, deep ponds and shallow
pools, Celery Fields is Sarasota’s primary flood
mitigation zone and a prime habitat for native
and migratory bird species. To date, the Society
has recorded 217 species of birds in the fields, and
recommends wintertime for the best birding.
