Numbering System
The entire ISO 11784 consists of 23 digits
transponder code; the first digit is “1”
(indicating Animal ID); the last 15 digits
starts with country code “NGA” (566
software code) (per ISO 3166), followed by a
12 digit Animal ID. The first 2 digits (starting
from 10, 20, etc.) of the 12 digit Animal ID
is farm regional location code and the last
10 digits is the unique cattle identification
number.
