The Divine Maternity was to be the
beginning of an eternal action. At the
head of the armies that fight under
the standard of Jesus, God placed the
Virgin. Today, yesterday, tomorrow -
at all times - Mary is present with us in
all our undertakings. Her perfection
encompasses the Church and all
humanity. God’s Love, reposing in her
immaculate soul, diffuses and descends
upon all, radiating from her as the
light from the sun.
To MARY:
God has entrusted all His Glory.
To MARY:
God has communicated
His Power, Wisdom and Strength.
To enlist in the army of God, we
must enlist under the banner of Mary!
“She shall crush thy head, and
thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.”
(Genesis 3:15)
MARY or SATAN, there is no other
choice. God uses Mary’s maternal heart
to pour out His mercies upon mankind.
Catholic Action is one of mercy, not
justice, and its weapons are weapons of
charity. Mary’s privileged function in
Catholic Action is that of giving Jesus
Christ to souls. Mary is the New Eve; She
is the ARK which houses the Divine
Law, floating upon the waters of the
deluge. She is the golden urn wherein
the manna, which is the nourishment
of the living, is contained.
Jesus is hidden in His Mother from
the Annunciation to the Baptism; He
is presented during this time only in
the womb of His Mother or in her arms,
or under her authority. Mary is the
mistress of the home. By her FIAT, the
designs of Redemption were born, not
Heaven and earth, but Christ Himself.
Will Christ be given to us? We must ask
Mary for Him. Each act of the Mother
of Jesus advanced the Kingdom of God
prodigiously. She gave Him her flesh
and blood and strength, her attention,
her tenderness, her heart and soul. The
Sacred Body of Christ is the infinite
price of sin, the instrument of our
salvation. By the sole generation of
the Word Incarnate, Mary has at once
vanquished all heresies.
We are members of the one Mystical
Body, that of Christ; and abide in only
one Temple, that of the Holy Spirit.
Mary is the Mediatrix for humanity,
presenting and containing within her,
so to speak, the whole future Church.
Mary offers her Son, the Christ, to God
as ransom for the sins of humanity.
Her obedience, humility and fidelity
are the distinguishing qualities of
Catholic Action.
