STRAZ ACCESS
PARKING
Wheelchair-accessible parking is available on our Arrival Plaza off
Tyler Street. Guests with disability parking placards or license plates
may park at a discounted rate on a fi rst-come, fi rst-served basis.
CURBSIDE DROP-OFF
Courtesy transport wheelchairs are available for guests needing
curbside drop-off. Call 813.222.1070 when you arrive at the Straz
Center and an associate will meet you.
SEATING
Wheelchair and scooter accessible seating is available throughout
Morsani Hall, Ferguson Hall and on the Orchestra level in the Jaeb
Theater, TECO Theater and Shimberg Playhouse.
Seating options are available for guests with visual, hearing and
mobility disabilities. Call our Ticket Sales Offi ce directly at
813.229.7827, visit us in person or look for the designation when
ordering online at strazcenter.org. Bariatric seating is also available
and may be requested when purchasing tickets by phone or in person.
Easy wheelchair access is available throughout our campus,
including water fountains and ticket counters at appropriate heights
as well as theater seating designed for space and ease.
RESTROOMS
Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located on all levels of
Morsani Hall and Ferguson Hall. Companion restrooms are available
in Morsani Hall, Ferguson Hall and TECO Theater. Accessible stalls
are available in the Jaeb Theater.
AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL)
INTERPRETED PERFORMANCES
The fi rst Thursday of each Broadway show is an ASL-interpreted
performance. To request ASL interpretation for other performances,
call the Ticket Sales Offi ce at 813.229.7827 at least two weeks prior
to your show so we may secure this service for you.
ASSISTED-LISTENING DEVICES
The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) assisted-listening system may be
used by any guest with a smartphone or tablet and ear-buds. Download
the free MobileConnect app, connect to our assisted-listening Wi-Fi
network and tune in. A limited number of smartphones and tablets are
available for checkout at the house manager’s desk in each theater.
There is no charge to use the device, but valid ID is required.
SERVICE ANIMALS
ADA-certifi ed service animals are welcome inside the Straz Center
and must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. If you
intend to bring a service animal to a performance, please notify
your customer service representative at the time of purchase so
that we may identify the optimal seating location for you.
SENSORY-FRIENDLY PERFORMANCES
A select number of Patel Conservatory student theater
performances are designated as sensory-friendly for those
guests with sensitivities to light, loud noises or
surprise elements of a show. Guests may use a
break room and are welcome to bring tablets,
headphones, ear plugs, stim objects such as
squishy balls, and other items into the theater.
