Maple Highlands Trail
Begin this trail in Mid-
Parkway. A small parking
area is located there or
park in the Village and
pick up the trail behind
Hiking and biking trail
extends over 21 miles.
Easy grade trail is paved and
restrooms are at parks just off the trail. The
south section allows horses and many Amish
buggies use that section. Country views and
several covered bridges are of interest along
the route.

Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park Rt.
282, Nelson. Park offers a thrilling experience
to visitors with its rugged cliffs and
diverse plant life typical of a more northern
climate. A day-use park, Nelson-Kennedy
Ledges is popular for picnicking and hiking.
Parts of the park’s dramatic rock formations
are visible from the road.
